Jonathan Morgan is perhaps the only director in porn who can make his movies funny and yet still deliver the hardcore action that fans desire. Such is the case with M – Caught in the Act, a great parody of the adult industry, and specifically, actresses who think the world of porn revolves around them. A winner this past year at the AVN awards for Best Actress – Video and Best Comedy, the DVD version of this title lives up to expectations, and may very well receive some awards of its own when all is said and done. In addition to the great feature, the viewer also gets a behind the scenes look at the making of the film, a director’s commentary from both Jonathan Morgan and star Serenity, four trailers, and a nice selection of slide shows, including one that is a hidden “Easter Egg” and features Serenity. The movie pokes fun at the industry by telling the story of “M” (Serenity), a star so famous in the adult world that she doesn’t even have to go by just one name…she is so popular that one letter is enough for recognition! But while she is all glamour and glitz in public, she is a real bitch in private, and has some real personality problems which are either the result of an unstable mental state or (gulp!) demonic possession! Everyone who tries to stand up to “M” faces nasty consequences, by favorite being what happens to Brad Armstrong (you’ll have to tune in to see!) when he arrives home after a long day on the set, and suddenly has trouble finding his cat. Mike Horner (in a non-sex role) also does a nice turn here as an industry director who is at odds with “M”. His fate is especially humorous, not so much for what happens to him, as the fact that he actually survives it and is forced to deal with the consequences for the rest of the film. How Horner missed out on winning best non-sex performance in this title (he was nominated, but lost to The Sopornos' Rob Spallone) is a true crime…it’s one of his best roles in years, and shows how good he can be when given the right part. But as with all adult titles, the true test of success is in the sexual action, and rest assured, when you are not holding your sides from chuckling at the witty dialogue, you will be holding back from exploding while getting off to the hot sex. The film doesn’t keep you waiting either, as the opening segment (which takes place on the set of “The Wadfather, Part 2”, a great idea for a movie in its own right!) features a four-way between Bridgette Kerkove, Alexandra Quinn, Rick Masters and Dave Hardman. Now Wicked titles have never been shy when it comes to hardcore action, but viewers are in for a real surprise when Alexandra takes both guys’ cocks in her willing pussy! Not to be outdone by her companion, Bridgette ups the ante by taking both the guys in her ass! But director Morgan doesn’t hold anything back as he sets out to provide us with a truly hardcore adult title. Next up is Serenity’s first scene, as she dons a sexy purple wig and goes down on “Pizza Dude” (hey, it says so on his shirt!) Mickey G. A little fun is poked here at the old porn cliche of pizza guys forgetting to bring the sausage…but when the action starts, what we get is anything but run-of-the-mill. Serenity shows off her ample sucking skills, and in my favorite part, she impresses us with her ballerina body, by standing with one leg fully above her head as Mickey eats her out. After some missionary and cowgirl action, Serenity gets truly naughty, as she gives Mickey’s balls the tongue lashing of their life, sucking them and licking them to her heart’s content. There’s plenty of anal fun in scene three, which features Asian doll Miko Lee with Brad Armstrong. Brad winds up giving anal to Miko in both the reverse cowgirl and missionary positions, and the viewer can tell Brad is so turned on that he barely has enough time to remove his tool from her pussy before he shoots all over her body, some of which even makes it all the way to her chin in an above-average cumshot. Just when you think M – Caught in the Act couldn’t possibly get any better, it does, as Serenity not only teams up with the lovely Temptress and Ian Daniels for a three-way, but the girls are also dressed up as cheerleaders! There’s some fantastic action here, including more than enough lesbian action for girl-girl fans. The next two scenes feature the now-retired (please come back!) Alexa. First, she takes on Voodoo while wearing a grass skirt (in a kind of Hawaiian-themed bar), and after taking a nice load from him, it’s back to the cheerleader-themed action, where she gets very naughty in a girls-only scene with Serenity that includes a lot of sex toy action (although sadly, no strap-on use). Although Serenity only performs oral here, it is a nice end to the film, which concludes with a fantastic facial that cumshot fans should enjoy. Wonderfully written (by Martin Brimmer and Jonathan Morgan) and didn’t skimp on the sex either. In many ways, it is superior to both of Morgan’s Double Feature titles, although those are definitely worth a spot in anyone’s porn collection as well. M – Caught In The Act is a top-notch effort from some of the industry's top-notch talent, and it is easily one of the best DVD releases of the year.
