Welcome my friends, Ken here, and welcome again to this weeks edition of EdenDVD's Newsletter. My job here is to try to bring you information what is happening in the adult movie industry, current and upcoming releases as well as current events. So, sit on back, grab a drink, and check out this week's newsletter.

I am not sure if you have noticed or not, but I have been noticing that the whole face of the adult industry seems to be changing. With adult movies like Pirates, Curse Eternal and others, they are opening the doors to people who never used to consider viewing an adult movie, and are now fans of what this world has to offer. Studios are producing a more overall commercial product with large budgets that have elaborate sets and costume designs, along with special effects and full scripts. This has opened a completely new market in the more mainstream viewer market, and I for one am glad to see this. It has also opened the door for adult stars to star in mainstream movies and TV shows, with the likes of Ron Jeremy and Traci Lords to just name a few. What the future has in store for the adult industry and its stars I do not know, but I sure am looking forward to watching and seeing for myself.

THE REINCARNATION OF BETTY PAIGE

Bettie Page has to be one of the most famous pinups of all time, and this month she is featured in not one but two great movies. In the mainstream world, HBO is set to release "The Notorious Bettie Page" with Gretchen Mol as the famous beauty Bettie Page. Not to be outdone, Metro Interactive is releasing "The Reincarnation of Betty Paige - Collector's Edition" staring the super sexy Darla Crane on April 18th which is meant to coincide with HBO's April 14th release. The movie is about an obsessed Bettie Page fan that is determined to follow in her idol's footsteps, by calling herself Betty Paige. Watch as she enters this strange world of hardcore sex, lesbian action and three-ways. Staring with Darla are Tanya Danielle, Amber Michaels, Ryan Conner, Tony Michaels, Dino Bravo and Frank Fortuna. Although this movie was previously released, this latest edition features extras not available on the original release, such as a photo gallery and a 14"x28" pin-up poster of Darla Crane as Betty Paige.

The Real Bettie Page was born in Nashville, Tenn. She then went on to pose for famed photographer Irwin Klaw and Playboy magazine, and is best known for her photos showing her in bondage and sadomasochism situations, along with her cheesecake pinup photos. I will be checking this one out more once it is released, as I have long been a fan of Bettie Page.

VIRTUAL VIVID GIRL SUNNY LEONE

Vivid entertainment is venturing into the interactive DVD market with its release of "Virtual Vivid Girl Sunny Leone". This DVD gives the viewers a chance to feel like they are having their way with Sunny Leone. There is a variety of sexual positions, along with her talking dirty or sweet to you. Sunny said that filming this DVD was very different than anything she had ever done, as usually you just have a scene and people tell you what to do and you do it, that's it. However, with this interactive DVD it meant changing positions a lot, having sex, then stopping, and going a lot. In one part, there was a big orgy scene where all five girls rode on the Sybian, and had sex with each other. Sunny's co-stars were fellow Vivid girl Lanny Barby along with former Vivid exclusive Lexie Marie, Charmane Star and Amy Reid. The DVD is a 2-disc set with over 9 hours of content, with three different camera angles available, so you can move the girls around, and can switch what girl is with Sunny. This should prove to be a real exciting release.

BELLADONNA

This week I thought I would take a moment to talk about an adult film starlet by the name of Belladonna, who seems to be on every top chart I look at lately. Her company Belladonna Entertainment along with Evil Angel, have been producing hit after hit, with some of the hottest sexually driven content on the market today. She covers all fetishes, fantasies, and everything else in between. Last newsletter she was #5 on the chart with "Belladonna: Fetish Fanatic 2" which hit the market on Feb 14th 2005, and this weeks chart has her newest release "Belladonna: Fucking Girls 3" hitting the charts at #7. If you haven't already, have a look at Belladonna, both her old and new releases, & I am sure you wont be disappointed.

POINT OF VIEW MOVIES

A growing trend in the Adult DVD market seems to be POV (Point Of View) movies where they are filmed with you in mind and make you feel like you are right there and part of what is going on. AVN award winning producer/director Vince Voyeur is considered a pioneer in this camera format, is set to release his newest movie "3 on Me POV". Another player in this market is Digital playground who has just released a new series of POV movies called "Jacks POV" which is set to be on store shelves April 27th. If you have not checked out a movie filmed this way yet, then these two would be a great starting point along with these fine movies we have available below.

PIRATES

If you haven't already, you simply must check out the hottest selling and renting DVD in the nation right now. Pirates has been on the AVN's Top 25 Weekly Rentals and Sales Charts for 26 consecutive weeks now. Pirates topped the nominations at the 2006 AVN Awards Show in Las Vegas last January, with 24 nominations, which is more than any other single title has ever received in Adult Entertainment History. Pirates ended up coming home with a record 11 awards in the end including Best Video Feature, Best Director-Video, and Best Actress-Video. Samantha Lewis, president of Digital Playground has stated that Pirates has been embraced by the mainstream population, where they usually shy away from the industry. I have personally seen this movie and enjoyed it a lot, and along with the fantastic set & costumes, this movie has some incredible stars and action. If I were to rate this movie on a 1 to 10 scale, it would easily be an 11.

WANT TO TALK ABOUT A POPULAR LADY?

AVN Award winning director Tristan Taormino's newest release for Adam & Eve Video is "House of Ass". Not only is super sexy Jenna Jameson the hottest thing in the adult industry, but she seems to be one of the hottest searches on the web, even surpassing Britney Spears in searches and doubling searches on other music divas like Jessica Simpson, Beyonce and Shakira. According to the online site Overture, Jenna received 1,859,429 individual searches in the month of February, compared with 1,529,227 hits for Britney Spears. You don't have to go searching to find Jenna here, just click on any of the links to her name for a list of some of her hot movies available for sale right now.

WATCHING SAMANTHA

Wicked Pictures and award winning director Michael Raven have released their newest movie, Watching Samantha, last Friday, staring the gorgeous Stormy Daniels , who you will might remember from the AVN award winning movie Camp Cuddly Pines Powertool Massacre . Not only did Stormy star in this movie but she also wrote this psychological thriller. Now talk about a talented woman! Stormy plays Samantha, a beautiful but tormented housewife who on the outside appears to have the picture-perfect life, but on the inside is unraveling quickly with constant fear that someone sinister is lurking. I am sure this movie will be topping the charts really soon, so I would recommend keeping an eye on it.

FANS OF ADULT MEDIA & ENTERTAINMENT

JOANNA'S ANGELS 2

VCA Pictures is set to release the sequel, Joanna's Angels 2 - Alt Throttle, which is directed by, and stars Joanna Angel . The Movie is set in New York, and features Crime fighting divas Joanna Angel, Sabrina Sparx and Kylee Kross, as they fight evil-doers with their kinky angels' desirers. The real problem comes when they are faced with a true moral dilemma, to feed their appetites for w ild sex or save the presidents daughter. New recruit Tommy Pistol ends up doing all the work, and the girls have all the fun as they find new positions to seduce their way out of trouble in the name of goodwill. Sounds like some fun action to me, I am thinking this one will be a must check out video.

CURSE ETERNAL

Let's start off with the March 8th release of "Curse Eternal" which is the newest big budget film from director Brad Armstrong and Wicked Pictures It stars 2005 AVN Best Actress winner Jessica Drake as Samantha Stewart, an archeologist who embarks on an expedition to uncover the secrets of an Ancient tomb inhabited by Queen Neferkala, played by Kaylani Lei. After Steward transfers Neferkala's tomb back to the United States for further study, she accidentally awakens Queen Neferkala, whom she soon discovers is an ancient force of sexual terror. This DVD comes in a two-disc set with nine sex scenes including the "making of", three bonus scenes, multiple photo galleries and a blooper reel.

HOUSE OF ASS

AVN Award winning director Tristan Taormino's newest release for Adam & Eve Video is "House of Ass". The movie is Taormino's first release in 5 years, and is a takeoff on TV's reality shows. The movie is about what happens when a group of porn stars have to stay in a secluded mountain village for the weekend. The movie starts Joanna Angel, Justine Jolie, Kylee Kross, Tommy Pistol and Zak Smith. If you are a fan of back door action, then this is certainly one for you to check out more.

THAT 70'S HO

Love the 70's? Think bright colored polyester outfits and wild afro hairdos are a real fashion statement? Then the beautiful Shy Love's recent release "That 70's Ho" is your kind of movie. It is a parody on the hit TV show "That 70's Show", and is directed by Love & Nadia Styles It stars Brooke Haven, Jenna Presley and Styles, along with Roxy Jezel, Johnny Knox, Jack Venice and John West The movie focuses on a group of teenage girls and their hot friends who would rather hang out, gossip and have nasty sex, than go to school and work. Knox plays a virgin foreign student who will leave you laughing at every turn even while he tries to continually get laid even though he is constantly striking out at every turn. I really think this one will be one to watch, so check it out.

Following in the footsteps of fellow rap star, "Snoop Dog turned adult movie producer", Hip hop artist Lil' Jon has just released the first of two movies that he is doing along with Vivid Entertainment  "Lil' Jon's Vivid Vegas Party" which hit the shelves on March 6th. Not only did Lil' Jon produce it, but he also stars in it, and has made a fantastic driving music score. The movie starts off with Lil' Jon telling the viewers "We're going to show you how we party. We'll show you how we get down and how freaky wild we get." And then he climbs out of his limo upon arriving at the AVN Awards ceremony in Las Vegas, where he quickly proceeds to get VERY friendly with the sexy adult starts at the awards. First off, I would like to discuss someone who seems to be on every the mouth of everyone in the adult industry right now. That person is Vivid Entertainment's exclusive star Tera Patrick. Tera is highly regarded as today's most popular erotic film star, and has over 70 films to her credit as well as having won virtually every important award and title in the adult industry. From the first moment I saw the title and read about it, I have had some great laughs just thinking about it. The movie I am referring to is "Porn of the Dead", from the very creative mind of writer/director Rob Rotten and Metro Interactive. Who would have thought that brain eating zombies would be interested in crazy perverted sex, I know I sure didn't, but Rob Rotten's twisted mind sure does. With a combination of great zombie makeup and gore FX, and top it off with a metal soundtrack, this movie is sure to be a hit with the horror and porn fans alike. I know that I will be checking it out when it is released on March 28th just to see if it is as crazy as they say.

WHERE THE BOY'S AREN'T 17

Do you love pretty women? How about hot sexy girl on girl action? Well of course you do, and who doesn't? Well Vivid Entertainment has the movie for you. FOXE AWARDS SET FOR FEBURARY 19th

The 15th annual Fans of X-Rated Entertainment Awards (FOXE) is set to be held on Sunday, February 19th at the Mayflower Ballroom in Los Angeles. These awards are open to people in the industry and fans alike. The FOXW awards are decided entirely by fans which event organizer and founder of the non-profit organization P.A.W. (Protecting Adult Welfare) Bill Margold points out, "you cant' tell the fans how to vote."

The evening will consist of five awards including Female Fan Favorite, Male Fan Favorite, Vixen Award and two awards will be given out to make and female talent who have win three past awards and are now ineligible to win anymore. This year super stars are Lexington Steele and Tera Patrick who will be "Retired". Previously retired stars include the amazing Nina Hartley and Jill Kelly.

Additionally there will be an honorary "Broast"(tribute) to Christy Canyon, during which friends will take the microphone and pay tribute to the legendary starlet. Margold says that legendary star Ron Jeremy is working on a poem for the event.

JOHN THE STUTTERER MAKES HIS PORN DEBUT

Many of you may know him from his many appearances on the "Howard Stern Show" is set to make his porn debut in the upcoming "Here Cums John, Volume 1. John first got to be known on Sterns radio show in May 2000, after hearing that John had never slept with a woman. Stern would later bring in a porn star to have sex with John. Both movies cleaned up the awards at this past 23rd Annual AVN Awards show in Las Vegas, Nevada on Jan 7th, 2006. First up is Pirates, which is the tale of a villainous pirate (Tommy Gunn) and his foe the Playboy Pirate Hunter (Evan Stone) as they travel the deadly Caribbean Sea.
