Michael Ninn returns with Shock, his follow up to his critically successful and incredibly popular film Latex. Michael Ninn was the director of the highly acclaimed Sex and its sequel, Sex 2, and helped carve out a niche in today's marketplace, a more cinematic erotic work which tries to break away from the stereotypical style of a lot of adult features are known for. Latex and Shock are cutting edge cyberpunk inspired erotica with high quality visual effects and strong direction. Michael Ninn's style of directing is much more centered within the Hollywood fashion than the adult film worlds, and although his films feature real hardcore action, they are not hindered by it, or allow it to take away from the overall feature. Michael Ninn directs a truly stellar cast of actors and actresses. The cast is helmed by Jon Dough returning in the role as Malcolm Stevens a mentally disturbed individual incarcerated in Noble Asylum. Much like in the film Latex, Malcolm's disturbed and truly bizarre sexual mind is the crux for the film, draws in all the characters in the film and sets up a strange series of sexual encounters. Returning to the elements which pleased fans of Latex, Shock outdoes the previous film in every aspect. By making the story tighter and the visual effects stronger, there are no complaints that can be made about this movie. The cast of this film includes Jeanna Fine, Tricia Yen, Marine Cartier, Caressa Savage, Jill Kelly, Jenny Blair, Misty Rain, Felecia, Kia, Ona Zee, Rebecca Lord, Vince Voyeur, T.T. Boy, Peter North, John Decker and Sean Rider. Tyffany Million and Sunset Thomas also return in the sequel adding some familiar faces to this phenomenal cast. This film features some more bizarre sequences and strange settings. Director Michael Ninn adds new elements to his visual storytelling style and makes this film even stranger than the first. In the opening sequence, Jeanna Fine is all dressed up. She is wearing a white makeup all over her body as well as a Marilyn Monroe wig, stockings and long black gloves. She takes out a large hot pink dildo which looks bizarre against her painted body and begins masturbating. Jon Dough, who proceeds to bounce her around in various positions, soon joins her. He finally gets her into position for some outstanding anal action and Jeanna delivers one of her best performances ever. After some really great action, he lets the cum fly all over Miss Fine's pretty face. VCA Pictures DVD department did a nice job in transferring this to DVD and the overall quality is top-notch. The video quality is outstanding and the film transfer is one the best for an adult title. Due to the length of the feature, no additional supplementary material is included. Overall, Shock is a phenomenal sequel to an outstanding film, and a must own title for fans of Sci-Fi and Cyberpunk as well as anyone looking for something a little unique and different than their normal adult feature. |
